Product Description
A Unitron Receiver (also called a “speaker”) is the component of a Unitron Moxi Receiver-in-Canal (RIC) hearing aid that sits inside the ear canal to deliver sound. Because it is exposed to earwax and moisture, it is a consumable part that may need replacement every 1-2 years.
The receiver is a small metal or plastic unit that converts electrical signals into sound. It is a thin, pre-shaped wire that connects the speaker to the hearing aid body behind your ear.
The connector into the hearing aid is a 3-pin or 8-pin (depending on the hearing aid generation) that snaps into the hearing aid.
The receiver is available in multiple power levels to match the severity of hearing loss – standard (S), Moderate or Medium (M) and Power (P). It is available in lengths 0, 1, 2 and 3 to fit the physical anatomy of the wearer’s ear.
Receivers are colour-coded for convenience: blue for left and red for right. The power level and wire size are engraved on the receiver housing for quick reference. We recommend confirming your specific requirements with an audiologist before ordering to ensure a proper fit.
Note: Ensure you are familiar with the replacement process or seek professional assistance. PUB Hearing assumes no responsibility for damage to hearing instruments resulting from improper receiver removal or installation.
